The Bulloo region is located in the south-western corner of Queensland, Australia. It covers an area of approximately 74,000 square kilometres and is largely made up of remote, sparsely populated areas.

The Bulloo River is a major feature of the region, flowing through the towns of Thargomindah and Hungerford. The river is famous for its fishing and is home to a variety of fish species, including yellowbelly, catfish and bream.

The region is also known for its vast expanses of flat, open plains, which are popular with travellers and adventurers. The Simpson Desert, one of the largest deserts in Australia, covers a large portion of the region and is home to an incredible array of flora and fauna, including the iconic red kangaroo.

Visitors to the region can explore historic sites such as the Old Thargomindah Courthouse and Heritage Museum, or take part in outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and birdwatching. The Bulloo region is also home to several indigenous communities, who have lived on the land for thousands of years and have a rich cultural heritage.

Despite its remote location, the Bulloo region is well-serviced by a network of roads and highways, making it easily accessible to visitors. Overall, this region offers an incredible opportunity to experience the natural beauty and cultural richness of outback Australia.
